Candidates for the Texas State Board of Education Dr. Judy Jennings (District 10) Dr Rebecca-Bell Metereau (District 5) and Lorenzo Sadun (District 10) will meet on Saturday Dec. 5th at 1 PM at Marfe Gardens 2408 South Hwy 183. They will answer questions from the audience.

For the next ten years the SBOE will determine what is appropriate to teach in our public schools. Our community can not afford to wait another ten years while the future leaders of our country receive an education based on half-truths and innuendos. Texas history does not begin with the arrival of Stephen F. Austin. The history of Texas is an incomplete one when it excludes the contributions of our Tejano ancestors.

Come and let your voice be heard and be part of the solution. Let us use this democratic process of ours to find the right candidates that will meet our demands concerning the education of our children.
