Mediation And Motions For Summary Judgment

NOTICE:

MEDIATION AND MOTIONS FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT

The court-ordered mediation of this case did not take place on November 11, 2002. The reason is because November 11th was Veteran's Day and because the Kenedy Foundation and the lawyers for our family filed Motions for Summary Judgment.

A Motion for Summary Judgment is an attempt to get a case dismissed on legal technicalities. The hearing on the Motions for Summary Judgment is NOT scheduled for either November 25th or November 26th. Instead, the hearing will take place in Corpus Christi on December 30th and December 31st of this year. We will update you on the time and the courtroom where the hearing will be held as soon as it has been confirmed.

We will not go to mediation until after Judge McDowell rules on the pending Motions for Summary Judgment. Therefore, mediation will not take place until January of 2003.
