The hearing on the Motion to Change Venue filed by Hector Cárdenas that was scheduled for October 31, 2001 has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The purpose of the Motion to Change Venue is to change the case from Kenedy County to a county where all the heirs of our ancestor, Jose Manuel Ballí Villarreal can receive a fair and impartial trial.

The reason that the hearing was postponed was because the Kenedy Foundation filed a late Response to the Motion and Hector fought back by serving interrogatories and requests for documents on them. The Kenedy Foundation's answers will prove that we cannot get a fair trial in Kenedy, Kleberg or Nueces County!

Unless the lawyers agree to change the case to a neutral county where we can get a fair trial, the change of venue hearing will be rescheduled. We will continue to keep you updated via the internet.
