NOTICE: To the Heirs of Ballí Spanish Land Grants
RE: Update March 2008

The following are updates on the Ballí book, the certified genealogist and case issues:

Rene Escobar has completed the documentation on the upcoming Ballí book. The book should be available by summer. We will post on the BFO web site when the book is ready for market. There will only be 300 copies made of the first edition.

Dee Dee King has been selected and has accepted to be our Certified Genealogist. She is well respected by her peer group and has outstanding credentials. We are currently working with her on finalizing and executing a plan to make this happen. It is in the family’s best interest to take this route. Visit her web site at: www.genealogyfinder.com

Jules L. Laird, Jr. will be orally arguing in the Texas Supreme Court on April 22nd against the oil company in the Ballí PI case. This is the one opportunity we will have to be face to face with the Supreme Court Justices. While most of you are not named appellants in this case, it is the main precedent case in nearly all of the Spanish Land Grant cases, and is going to be the deciding factor in the upcoming other cases such as Chapa, Longoria, Trevino, La Barreta, etc during their inevitable appellate processes. I am asking for your support in the Court by way of attendance. We need to have a standing room only crowd, similar to many of the other cases we have had. The case will be heard at the Texas Tech Law School, on the Texas Tech University Campus, in Lubbock, Texas, on April 22, 2008, at 9:00 AM. The physical address of the law school is:

Texas Tech University School of Law
1802 Hartford Avenue
Lubbock, Texas 79409

This will be our one chance to show the Supreme Court that these cases are not just a corporate fraud against a nameless crowd, but that these land thefts have hurt many, many people. Putting a group of faces to the Justices may be very important to this case, and I hope that we can show them that the numbers are clearly on our side.

Respectfully yours,
Fred B. Ballí
